Whats the difference?
Well, an activity feed like the ones in FB show everything posted to a a group.
This is great, however the busier a group gets, the quicker content gets lost down the feed…
There are limited filters for feeds and people often end up scrolling for ages without finding specific content. They are made for ‘browsing’ more than organising content.
Forums, provide a structured layout with topics, replies, and comments to replies.
This allows a much better way for conversation, rather than just comments.
It also allows content to be organised and found at a later date 🙂
